A Taste That Speaks of Legacy It
At Mohanji Namkeen, every bite tells a story—of tradition, purity, and unmatched flavor. Born from the legacy of Laxmi Namkeen Bhandar, a trusted name established decades ago, we carry forward a rich tradition of crafting namkeens that have delighted families for generations.

Our Legacy – The Story Behind Laxmi Namkeen Bhandar

The journey of Laxmi Namkeen Bhandar began in 1962, when our founder’s father, at the age of just 15, left his small village and came to Jaipur in search of work. Starting as a helper in a local snack unit, he spent years learning the craft of traditional Indian namkeen.

After gaining deep experience, he was promoted to a skilled karigar. In 1982, during a visit to Delhi, he discovered potato wafers — a concept that sparked a dream. Inspired, he returned to Jaipur and decided to start his own business.

With nothing but a stove, limited oil, and strong determination, he began making wafers by hand. He bought one drum of oil, made chips, sold them, and reinvested every rupee — building the foundation of our legacy.

Due to financial limitations, he rented a third-floor space and manually carried all equipment upstairs daily. Despite the struggle, demand started rising across Jaipur. Retailers began requesting his products, and soon, his wafers became popular citywide.

In 1984, he bought a second-hand bhatti and expanded into traditional namkeen. Orders grew, and by 1985 he bought his first home. In 1996, the dream grew stronger, and finally, in 2000, the official Laxmi Namkeen Bhandar shop opened in Jaipur.

“Laxmi Namkeen Bhandar was named after his beloved daughter, Laxmi — a name that carries the love and blessings of family, and the spirit of prosperity.”

Today, Mohanji Namkeen continues this legacy — delivering authentic taste, unmatched quality, and soulful memories in every bite.
